TLC Collective has a blog? Whaaa? Yup, it’s true; we’re breaking into blogging because we’re firm believers that knowledge is power and with recreational legalization drawing nearer and nearer (mark your calendars for January 1st, 2018!), sharing knowledge is more important now than ever before.

Think about it: The clock has just struck 10 AM on January 1st, 2018; you’ve never had a hit of the reefer before (“Reefer Madness was just a movie; right, guys?”) and, with butterflies in your stomach and palms covered in sweat, you’re making your way to TLC for what will be your first-ever dispensary visit. (“What do I say? How do I act? Is there really an elevator that takes you to the shop? Now that’s what I call classy.”) All of these thoughts are swirling through your mind like vaporous smoke drifting lazily in still air and, suffice to say, they all boil down to one thing: You’re nervous as hell because, frankly, you don’t know what you’re getting into. But you’ve heard all about the medicinal benefits of cannabis and, damnit, it’s high time (pun intended) you started treating yourself right.

Alternatively, you’re a current patient who’s been toking for so long you’re half convinced you’re part cannabis plant. Because of this presumed biological tie (which isn’t a weird theory considering that some people live their life as mermaids) you feel an even deeper connection to the plant and are hungry to devour as much knowledge about it as possible.

In both instances, where does one go? Who does one turn to?

Well, that’s where we come in. Think of this blog as a comforting hand there to guide you on your adventurous, sometimes-uncomfortable (all of my veteran smokers will remember the first time they indulged in edibles) journey of self-discovery in the pungent, resinous world of marijuana. Covering topics from “how to do your first dab” to “how to read that one foreign language we call ‘SC Lab Results’,” we’re here to share knowledge, start a conversation and build a community around something we’ve taken seriously since the first day we opened: cannabis.

If you’re new to the community, welcome; if you’re an old friend, we thank you for stopping by and we hope to see you soon!
